Kicking off summer with a good book! I recently downloaded the Audible app so I wouldn't have to wait to start a book, plus I could multi task while listening to someone read me a book. Currently I'm reading When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi after a couple of my friends recommended reading it when I had a chance. In the mornings when I'm making breakfast I browse through the Channels tab on Audible and browse through "60 minutes of inspiration" or "10 small ways to change the world". Nothing better than starting your day on a positive note. Any time I need a little break I sneak in a chapter or two lying on the couch or bed with Toby snuggled in my arms.
One thing I like about Audible is that it keeps a bookmark on where you left off and a sleep timer for people like myself. It comes in handy when I know I'm about to doze off and usually time it to 15 minutes. I still do like having a physical copy of books, but it's perfect for long drives. It keeps me preoccupied and the drive much more bearable than listening to the same songs on the radio. Has anyone tried Audible? Audible is offering a free 1-month trial here, you can pick one book for free. One book I would recommend is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, one of my favorite authors. I would definitely recommend giving it a try and see for yourself! I've been having Game of Thrones withdrawals and will probably start the book series next. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know!
